MAZI was a Horizon2020 EU project, from 2016-2018.

The partners of the project co-developed a toolkit, the MAZI toolkit that allows non-technical users to set-up local networks that operate independently of the public Internet.

The toolkit has been used by many people and communities outside the project’s pilots who are keep using it and asking for support.

This is the original web site of MAZI “frozen” at the end of the project.

If you are interested, you can follow the discussion on the further support of the MAZI toolkit with more recent hardware (e.g., the Raspberry Pi 4) and other similar tools to build local networks.
